Classification of OCTG Casing
OCTG Casing is a large-diameter pipe that holds the wall or bore of an oil and gas well.
The OCTG casing is inserted into the well and fixed with cement to prevent the wellbore from separating rock and well collapse, and to ensure the circulation of drilling mud for drilling and production. Different types of casing used in oil production:
Ground Casing
- Protect oil wells from shallow water and gas contamination.
- Support wellhead equipment and keep the weight of other layers of casing.
Technical Casing
-Separate different pressure levels to allow normal flow of drilling fluid and protect production casing. -Easy to install anti
-Blowout preventers, leakage preventers and liners in drilling.
Reservoir Casing
- Export oil and gas from underground reservoirs. ,
- Used to protect drilling and layer drilling mud.
The outer diameter of OCTG Casing is typically 114.3 mm to 508 mm.
