Description
API series tubing refers to the steel pipe produced as per API SPEC 5CT of the American Petroleum Institute (API), which is used for the exploitation of petroleum oil or natural gas and other resources. Tubing is used to extract oil and natural gas from wells, casing is used as wall of oil and gas well bore.

The tubing in API standard provided by Glory Tube strictly follows the API 5CT standard in terms of quality control such as chemical composition, mechanical properties, and dimensional accuracy. Within the scope of the standard, all control indicators are tightened to make the performance more stable and the quality more reliable.

In terms of composition control, strict internal control requirements are implemented, and the P and S control levels of physical smelting are far stricter than the standard requirements of API 5CT. For products with corrosion resistance requirements, the strength range is strictly controlled, and the actual control level is near the midline of the strength requirements. For other steel grades, the yield strength control level is at the upper limit of the strength requirement range; in addition, the toughness performance of the material is much higher than the API 5CT standard requirement. Through the control of strength and toughness, the physical performance of the casing and tubing is guaranteed.
