Coiled Tubing and Coiled Line Pipe
Coiled Tubing (CT) is a pipe made of low carbon alloy steel, which has good flexibility, it is also called flexible tubing, coiled tubing or coiled line pipe. Coiled Tubing refers to a jointless coiled tubing which can be wound on a large-diameter drum, diagonally connected by several sections of steel strips, and welded by rolling, forming and welding. Coiled Tubing can replace conventional tubing for many operations. Coiled tubing has the characteristics of high strength and high toughness, and is widely used in many oil and gas operations because of its improved automation, good mobility, safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly operation.
Coiled tubing is not only used for oil gathering and transportation, but also widely used in fields such as oilfield drilling, completion, fracturing, acidizing, drainage, oil testing, oil production and gas recovery, workover, and blockage removal of gathering and transportation pipelines. Because of its wide application range, coiled tubing and its operation equipment are vividly called "universal operation machines" in the oil and gas industry.
Compared with traditional operation, coiled tubing has the advantages of short operation cycle, low accident rate and convenient transportation. It can operate without killing well and under pressure to protect oil and gas reservoirs; Horizontal wells and directional wells are convenient and quick to operate; Be able to carry out in-pipe operation, through-pipe operation, etc. Compared with traditional drilling, Coiled Tubing Drilling (CTD) is in a technical superiority position in directional drilling and underbalanced drilling in terms of improving drilling technology or reducing costs (saving 25% ~ 40% of costs).
Finished coiled tubing is completed at one time in pipe mill by continually production of special long tube strip, and the finished Coiled Tubing product must be spooled on reel for delivery to user for use.
During working, the coiled tubing products shall be bended and deformed repeatedly, and it shall be re-spooled on the reel after using. The coiled tubing is mainly used for well logging, workover, drilling, completion etc. and the coiled line pipe is mainly used for oil recovery, offshore pipeline and line pipe etc.
It is indicated that China is the second country after America in the world who can produce the coiled tubing. Glory Tube can produce the high quality coiled tubing as per API Spec 5ST and coiled line pipe as per API Spec 5LCP standards.

Glory Tube's coiled tubing is manufactured continuously by low carbon micro alloyed steel and HFW technology at one time.
The coiled tubing products have high strength, high plasticity and excellent low-cycle fatigue property, which can be used repeatedly for more than 20 times, and possesses many advantages especially when used for down hole operation, such as high operation efficiency, low cost, safety, environment-friendly, and time-saving etc.
Glory Tube's coiled tubing have passed the third-party inspection and testing, the performance is equivalent to that of imported coiled tubing from America.
